Infamy's Journal
As this is my first post for my new journal, I would like to say hey, hope your all well etc… So let me begin by introducing myself, I go by the name of Infamy!
Noun - Total loss of reputation; public disgrace; dishonour; ignominy; indignity
Noun - A quality which exposes to disgrace; extreme baseness or vileness; as, the infamy of an action
Noun - That loss of character, or public disgrace, which a convict incurs, and by which he is at common law rendered incompetent as a witness.
You’re probably thinking why that name, well it’s the first one I saw when looking around my bookshelves for a name, and some of the definitions fit right in to how I felt before discovering the community. I felt like I didn’t have a character, I needed a reputation so people would remember me, and I was a disgrace when trying to commence conversation with beautiful woman. I’ll be honest I am in a relationship with a beautiful Polish woman (27 yrs), who has been one of the best things that has ever happened to me, my confidence has soared.
I’m 36 years of age, have been over weight for a long time now, but doing something about it, have started eating healthy and going to the gym 4 nights a week, this in its self has started to make more feel a lot better about myself, my confidence has improved because I feel better within myself. And this is why I am doing these things, I want to improve my self esteem, confidence and yes to see those beautiful woman out there smile at me as they walk past, or catch them looking back to see what they seen was good!
I have started to read what information there is out there, watch anything that I can regarding the community, even bought “Emotional Intelligence” while out the other evening browsing shops with the girlfriend. And regarding the book “The Game” by Neil Strauss all I can say is wow, recommend to anyone as a very good read. Not sure on how the likes of Mystery, Ross Jeffries etc... Thought of it but I loved it!
Since joining the gym and eating properly I have gone from 242.508lbs down to 226.635lbs, looking to go further, which is one of my goals. So you can class that as my first goal, became fitter, healthier. This would lead in to my next goal which is to improve my wardrobe, because I will feel better with my body and take more risks in warring tighter clothes and more stylish clothing, as I just wasn’t comfortable before, always had baggy cloths to try and cover up my over weightiness.
So recap so far goals;
- Reduce weight
- Become fitter
- Improve wardrobe
In regards to improving my communication with people (not just woman) I am watching, reading any and all information I can gain. You may laugh but I have the Jdog podcasts on my ipod so when at the gym I can watch! Had a comment today from a colleague that I appear to be losing weight now that gave me a smile straight away.

Good luck with the goals. You made me think of another goal for me too. I need to work on my wardrobe also. I been thinking about going to my local Target where all the HB's hang out and ask some of the girls for advice on clothing. I am clothing challenged, Maybe I can get one to go shopping with me.
Well quiet weekend so far, not much happening, some more reading out the way.. Looking forward to the week ahead, as back to the gym after work tomorrow. Really enjoying the gym and after the comments last week regarding people are noticing my weight loss and the extra looks by girls/woman its boosted my confidence no end.
Pay day this week
always a happy time, so another chance to go out and look at new clothes for my wardrobe.. Still not sure on the best places to shop in the UK for good stuff but it will take sometime to find all the hidden away places, or even the well known places as haven't been one of the best clothes shoppers for a long time.
Having a hard time thinking of what to do with my hair and goaty, but will keep you informed.

Great that you have got a plans to focus on now. I found a great site through youtube of this guy that is give away a lot of good tips about staying in shape. Information that most people sell. I do not know this guy in person or anything but I think he gives a lot of tips. I recommend to you to check him out! http://www.scoobysworkshop.com/
....He speaks about not spending your money on any junk machine or nothing like that so you could also have more money for your style :D... But as you got a card to the gym I would use that for now :D

great post. I'm of a similar age and goals as you so it'd good if we keep in touch.
One question tho'. Do you game girls at the gym and elsewhere while you're working on these appearance goals?
What's your ideal image as well? Are you looking just to lose weight or are you aimimg to be totally buff?

No not gaming at the gym, have found that most of the girls there are either wearing ipods or some other kind of media device, so hard to make conversation when they can't hear you
also most of the time they just want to be left alone to work out. Maybe in time when they get to know my face more from being there over the weeks.
Looking at losing weight mostly to begin with, then maybe tone up slightly, defaintly don't want to be too buff or ripped as heard it be called! The image I'm looking for is when done, is to be able to wear a tight shirt and not be scared that I look fat or chubby. Also will be able to get rid of the goaty, as won't have a noticable double chin!!
Think the look will develope over time with the weight loss also, as more optins to wear things...

Well let’s have an update on the progress so far…
Have been consistently going to the gym now for 4 days a week after work, eating properly also, and I have started to notice the difference visually ( Scales!! ) and through some comments from work colleagues and girlfriend. This has increased my self esteem to new levels as starting to feel better about myself.
Had a girl open me (HB7) at the gym, yes I said open me!!! Was shocked at first, but then thought why not, I’m here improving myself so why not? Again esteem increased!!
One thing having trouble with is keep eye contact with woman, either walking down the street or at work, as soon as they look back I get nervous and paranoid that I’m doing something wrong by looking at them. Usually look away after 2 seconds not been able to hold look any longer, something to work on and any advice about this would be good.
Been looking at Body Language books to see if worth reading to learn about this area, might help with the above paragraph, and in general, wonder if anyone else has read these types of books and if there worth reading?
Was out last night with the girlfriend, just went for a walk around a shopping centre ( Mall to you folks over the pond ), you do get some looks from woman if your with another woman, than you do if alone. Observed this while walking with her, and the looks that came my way, but as soon as I left her in a shop and went to look in another shop as a bit of a test, I did notice the number of looks decrease.
Going to start making a list of openers and games that I read about, as reference material, will post as I go and find incase anyone else is after the same thing.
