Women with "boyfriends" in college
I'm a junior in college, 20 years old. A couple girls (women?) I've met recently have seemed semi-interested. We barely spoke so far, but I am interested in them. I find, however, on their facebook profiles, that they are "in a relationship" with someone. Do you think I should still try to go on a date with them?
It will at least be good practice in socializing, and if they say no, whatever, so what. The case for dropping the pursuit, so to speak, is that if they aren't available, why aggravate myself trying to get through to them, no?
I'd appreciate any input. I'm a new member here, and this is my first post.
I would not put any stock in the facebook profile. A lot of girls put in a relationship so all the AFC's will leave them alone. Girls will tell guys they have boyfriends when they don't all the time to weed out the bore of guys hitting on them all the time.
Sometimes its a test as 16volt has stated, you have to remember you are after the girls to chase you, not the other way around. Express your interest but don't chase... Facebook isn't a good source of information as people can put anything down.
Much better to get the information form the source, i.e, the girl.. If the girl says she has a boyfriend, it doesn't mean she isn't interested in you, its a test to see how you will react. Watch Jdog's podcast, there is abit about "Shit Tests" very good.
