Haircut girl dilemma

Just so I know ... I think I know but still...
Does it indicate interest if one of the girls where I'm getting a haircut after some chatting makes some remarks such as "So, if you workout a lot you probably don't have a girlfriend right now" and then "I don't have a partner right now" "How old are you if I may ask?" and somewhere "How tall are you?". It does right?

Anyway, the real question is the following:
This girl described above was nice, fun to talk too, not bad looking, but I wouldn't say she instantly turned me on or was that hot .. though she did give a great head message/hairwash ;-) So if I want to improve my game, lifestyle or what have you .. would you recommend trying to push these situations to see how far you can go? The thing is, I'm naturally inclined not to, because of thoughts like:
ok, is this a girl I can hangout with and see as a girlfriend for some time? And if the anwser is no for some reason, I'm not likely to follow up in these situation. But I also feel this gets me nowhere, not improving, limiting the interactions. I feel it could be just another form of Aproach Anxiety or Follow Up anxiety or whatever...
So I'm having some trouble in determining what to do. I mean, for me I have no problem if it would be a short affair with this girl .. but I don't like to and/or fear hurting her feelings. I'm kind of stuck not going for a number or more in these situations, because I somehow also feel I should only go for girls i'm completely into.
